Hello. My name is Tuca Alvares and I am the photographer behind More Than Pixels.
I created this website to share my passion for photography with the world, and that includes you too, so thanks for stopping by.

My quest: trying to find the balance. In my view, photography is not only about following precise technical algorithms in order to capture a proper image. I believe photography is an art form, and can therefore be compared to a delicate dance, where the artist has to observe technical details but should always try and harmonize them with abstract and subjective elements. These elements emanate not only from the photographer, but from the subject of the photograph as well. When the artist recognizes and balances these nuances appropriately, the images created are much more than mere pixels. The name of my website therefore is a reminder to me, of that never-ending pursuit, to create such carefully crafted images.
